A man from London was charged with possession a bladed article following the item being found on him when he went to a Watford nightclub for a night out.

His first appearance at Court was adjourned for Miss Cox to make written representations to the Crown Prosecution Service that it was not in the interests of justice for the Defendant to face prosecution in Court for the offence.  When the case returned to Court those representations proved successful, a caution was given and the District Judge dismissed the charge.

With an offence of this matter, there is a real risk that the defendant could have faced a custodial sentence albeit a suspended sentence.
