Hertfordshire Police sought a Post-Conviction Anti-Social Behavior Order (ASBO) against a vulnerable male with significant learning difficulties accused of misusing the 999 system. Lawtons Criminal Solicitors contested the Post-Conviction ASBO, in that it failed to meet any of the legal requirements and in any case our client did not have the mental capability to understand it.

The Prosecution wanted to continue with the case and a trial was fixed. As a result of further work from Grahame Sheer, Solicitor, which included cited case law and Home Office guidance the case was dropped.
