What is ABH? ABH vs GBH

As further evidence of our specialism in dealing with serious sexual offences and our renowned expertise in dealing with cases involving the making and possession of indecent images, our Private Client team secured a Suspended Sentence for our client who had pleaded guilty to being in possession and making over 96,000 Cat C images and numerous Category A and B images as well.

Our client appeared before Guildford Crown Court at the end of May where he was Sentenced to a 14 month prison sentence which was suspended for 2 years with a range of conditions focussing on rehabilitation and punishment.

Using our expertise and knowledge, we were able to establish that notwithstanding the number of images, our client was someone that would benefit from ongoing support and rehabilitation and that this was the more effective, long term, way to ensure that further offending would be reduced. With the additional requirements imposed by the Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), the sentencing Judge agreed that in the circumstances an immediate prison sentence could be avoided.

Our Private Client team can offer flexibility and a bespoke service to ensure that every question is addressed, and where necessary experts instructed to ensure that cases are robustly defended. Our aim is always to secure the best possible outcome and guide our clients through these difficult and complex cases.
