Samantha is a Duty Solicitor and accredited Police Station Representative with extensive experience in preparing Crown Court cases. She has experience in a variety of criminal matters and focuses on building trust with her clients to best support them through difficult times.

About Samantha

Samantha joined Lawtons in 2017 initially as a paralegal in our Hertford office, before commencing her training contract in 2019 and qualifying as a solicitor in May 2021. Since then, she has qualified as a Duty Solicitor and she is also an Accredited Police Station Representative. Samantha represents an array of clients in the Magistrates’ Court daily, including those most vulnerable and youths, ensuring they receive fair representation in the Criminal Justice System and achieving the best possible outcome. In particular, Samantha has considerable experience in preparing Crown Court cases.

Due to the sensitivity of criminal cases, Samantha focuses on creating a rapport with clients to ensure they will feel comfortable discussing their case and will take onboard the honest and robust advice given at each stage of their case. She has the experience to deal with a variety of criminal matters, ranging from drink-drive cases in the Magistrates’ Court to more serious offences in the Crown Court, such as armed robbery.

Samantha studied at the University of Hertfordshire where she completed her Law degree achieving first class honours. She went on to receive a distinction in the Legal Practice Course  at the same University.

Samantha also has a Masters in Law having carried out a focused study on mental health within the Criminal Justice System and identifying the problems that exist.
