A local businessman was acquitted at Stevenage Magistrates Court of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control. The case had been referred to Nick Seeley of Lawtons Criminal Solicitors by a leading regional law firm who did not have a specialist crime department.
The Prosecution alleged that the dog, a German Shepherd, had bitten a cyclist. As a result of the expert preparation and trial advocacy by Nick Seeley of Lawtons Criminal Solicitors, the Magistrates found that the evidence did not support the suggestion a serious injury had been caused by a dog bite. They returned a not guilty verdict.
