Police Arrest for Bladed Article

If you have been charged with a drug offence you should seek expert legal advice from specialist drug offence solicitors as soon as possible.

Our Solicitor-Advocate and Director, Stephen Halloran, was instructed to represent one of the defendants in a large-scale drugs case in Bristol.

Over 50 defendants arrested and charged

The case involved an undercover police operation in the Bristol area called Operation Minimal. Over 50 defendants were arrested and charged during the course of the operation and the court sentenced all individuals over a number of months.

The case involved a particular skill and care, as the defendant we were instructed to represent had no previous convictions. Whilst there was a consideration as to whether a level of duress may have been exerted, our Mr Halloran advised at the magistrates’ court stage that this would be unlikely to afford a defence.

One of the very few to avoid prison

Our client, and his extended family, accepted the advice from our Mr Halloran and as a result of the careful considered approach adopted, he eventually received a suspended prison sentence. He was one of the very few individuals not to receive an immediate term of imprisonment – many received significant prison sentences.

Mr Halloran is available to deal with cases on a nationwide basis, and will advise you or your family members on the considered tactical approach which can ultimately inform the eventual outcome.
